The Daily Beer and Bike Log: Jan. 8 2015: GoPro Creve Coeur Bootlegger Mountain Bike Trail

Today I was bored. So I decided to take a ride without taking a ride. Sure I got some excercise on the old stationary bike (It sucks but got to get those winter legs in shape)

The Video below is a trip through Bootleggers trail in Creve Coeur Park near St Louis. By Andy Horobec. This is a trail I know well, It was actually the very first trail I rode (You can go back and read My First Ride

This is where I fell in love with Mountain Biking. As a local I intend to hit some of the other trails and show them from a Go Pro point of view. But since I don't have my own GoPro yet I figuted why not search and give you a sense of what the trail looks like on the bike. Someday I will return with my own video from my actual point of view, but for now this is all I got..../Plus while stuck inside with this cold ass weather, it curbs the itch a little...Very little really it makes me want on my bike even more. Kind of like showing someone trying to quit smoking a commercial about what smoking does to you...Death, cancer, it does not matter, it just reminds the smoker that they want a cigerette. (I am a long way from the day I quit, over 9 years now, and this is not a problem anymore, but trust me those commercial s sucked back then) Anyway....

Also a Good resource for the local St Louis Riders is also gorctrails.com

This is a great site that will give you maps of the individual trails,

length, rating (like beginner/intermediate or advanced) Conditions (with  Good to go, Use caution, and stay away) With updates from riders who have been there recently.

You can become a member for free and also find opportunities to help out. Good stuff for the St Louis riders.

Disclaimer: I am no expert in anything on this blog as it states it is a Beginners journey into Mountain Biking and Beer Brewing. These are just opinion and observation pieces through my eyes as things happen. It is my personal journal for the world to see, that is all. Anything technical I would always refer you to some sort of expert, be it a brewer, or bike shop.
