The Daily Beer and Bike Logs!!! Jan 1, 2015

I am going to make an effort to write a post every day (At least the weekdays) Will it always be about bike rides and or Beer I will try to weave it in no matter what but as this was supposed to be it will be about my life as a person who is stepping into bike riding and Beer making (as well as drinking, YUM!)

First let’s catch up with New Year’s Day I had the privilege to try a couple of great beers the first although it is in my Sam Adams Glass

was Lucky Bastard

Which is a mix of Arrogant Bastard Ale , Double Bastard Ale, and Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale. On a pure beer level I will give this taste a 9 out of 10, Yes Great stuff.  Against my Go To Beer (Sam Adams Octoberfest) I still give it a 8 out of 10…Great beer I highly recommend this to anyone willing to try a stronger brew (8.5%) with a ton of taste…Take a chance and you may be a lucky Bastard….

Also during this grand Christmas Season I got a gift card to go take a class in brewing my own beer. Although I have been waiting for the time to go and visit my friends at Friendship Brewing (who still have an open invitation for my busy as to come brew with them)

I may very well pop my Brewing cherry with this class first to get the basics down before going with the professionals. I am looking forward to getting my hands dirty and my mouth full of my own beer.

I have also finally gotten off my lazy ass and started some aerobic workouts running and stationary bike, to get prepared for the spring and get my Mountain Biking ass back out there. Since running in my first ever half marathon I had gotten a bit lazy and busy. We moved, the holidays came along, as well as other family business happening that slowed down my workouts. But with the belly expanding and a little time back I am looking forward to beating the flab with some Mountain Biking this coming year.

So with January 1 in the books and a 20 minute stationary bike ride, to get the legs ready…Here I come 2015.

Disclaimer: I am no expert in anything on this blog as it states it is a Beginners journey into Mountain Biking and Beer Brewing. These are just opinion and observation pieces through my eyes as things happen. It is my personal journal for the world to see, that is all.  Anything technical I would always refer you to some sort of expert, be it a brewer, or bike shop.
