The Daily Beer and Bike log Jan 14, 2015 A Music Mix

Not much happening in my world with riding or beer today. So I thought what the hell should I write about without giving the audience a riveting description of my ordinary day waking up going to work, taking care of the kids. Eating diner, perhaps a workout in there maybe not. So I figured why not give a short list of songs I would listen to while hitting the trails. Now keep in mind although I listen to music while running I don’t while on my bike. If I am on an ordinary trail, it is usually with the wife and I enjoy talking with her while we ride and need to hear if anyone is coming up behind me.

On the single tracks in the woods I like hearing what my bike is doing (good or bad) I like listening to the woods although more subconsciously, another words if I stripped away everything else my mind is going through as I pedal my ass off that white noise is there.

Anyway If I was out on say a 15-20 minute ride and wanted to listen to an iTunes playlist of say about five songs. What would they be? Well I am for the most part a Metalhead. I like the Blues, I love classic rock, Love some Punk music, and I enjoy country. But I am a Metal music lover at heart. And since Some hardcore mountain biking needs a hardcore soundtrack We will stick to this. The first would be Black Label Society Suicide Messiah, from the Mafia Album

(Kids that would be the big black CD looking thing music came on or before you could just download a song they all came on an album) Anyway, a bad ass driving song that gets the adrenaline going.

Next I am going to have to go with a little Ozzy, maybe Crazy Train from Blizzard Of Ozz to keep me on track while listening to going off the rails.

That middle song needs to be some Pantera Cowboys from Hell from the Album of the same name or

or Walk  from Vulgar Display of Power

Either one would fit well here.
Then lets go a little classic on the Metal side with a solid AC/DC song and not to stay too obvious how about If You want blood (You got it) from Highway To Hell...

then finally let’s round off this short 5 song ride with Five Finger Death Punch’s No one gets left behind, from War is The Answer. Nice!!!

On any other day I may have picked 5 other songs from the thousands I enjoy, but here is a good mix, that I will probably use for the exercise bike during my next workout.
